What's JCDB
Japan Chemical Database Ltd. (JCDB) is a company which supplies chemical and regulatory information and develops and sells systems incorporating chemical databases.
At present, we offer solutions for chemical management required by recent environmental issues and for chemical regulatory compliance, and also provide various services for the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), the recommendation made by the United Nations to unify worldwide classifications of hazardous chemicals. Specially in the area of SDS(MSDS), we endeavor to help customers making full use of our know-how based on a long experience and of our own systems and regulatory contents.
JCDB intends to make contributions toward offering services fused into by 'chemical databases', 'human resources' and 'IT systems' for all sorts of businesses related to chemicals and building sustainable societies.

Supplying Japanese Regulatory Information
- ezCric (Retrieval System): Used by 2,000 companies including public agencies
- Contents: Regulatory contents are mainly provided on condition that they will be incorporated into our system.
30 laws and regulations including Chemical Substances Control Law, Pollutant Release and Transfer Register Law (PRTR Law), Industrial Safety and Health Law, Poisonous and Deleterious Substance Control Law, Fire Service Law, Explosives Control Law, High Pressure Gas Control Law, Narcotics and Psychotropic Control Law, Air Pollution Prevention Law, Ozone Layer Protection Law, Dioxin Control Law, Marine Pollution and Marine Disasters Prevention Law, Civil Aeronautics Law, and Ship Safety Law are covered.
In addition, we have developed our own list of more than 100 chemicals grouped by compound;

Providing SDS(MSDS) Authoring Systems "GHS Logist"
GHS Logist is a system that authors a GHS-compliant SDS(MSDS) and outputs label elements.
- Under the Industrial Safety and Health Law revised in April 2006, the GHS has been introduced for display and notification of toxic chemical substances.
- Businesses are required to re-prepare labels and SDS(MSDS) for products that contain such substances.

“GHS Logist(TM)” is a system that logically performs GHS classification of mixture (calculation for health hazards, environmental hazards), automatically allocates coded phrases and prepares SDS(MSDS) drafts, as a tool for reducing the person in charge of SDS(MSDS).
